About Blooming in Adelaide
Are you considering starting a family, currently expecting a baby, or have recently given birth, then consider Blooming in Adelaide as your first choice for your pre and postnatal care. A woman blooms when she is expecting, so the name, Blooming in Adelaide seemed like a natural choice for this special time in a woman’s life, and was created by Rebecca Kubenk. Welcome to my page, I have a broad skill set, which includes Lactation Consultancy Orofacial Myology Placenta Artist Rebecca is also skilled in oral assessment of infants and young children. and has completed further training in this area with the Tongue Tie Institute. Rebecca trained in Advanced First Aid, and is cleared to work with children by the South Australian Police (valid 2018-2021) Blooming in Adelaide is a registered business with ASIC. In 2013, our application to have our Logo registered as a Trade Mark was officially granted, by The Commonwealth of Australia. Other roles in the Human Lactation Field: Rebecca has worked as an Accredited Baby Friendly Health Initiative (BFHI), Educator and Assessor. In this role she provides education to Health Care Facility staff, who are applying to become BFHI Accredited. BFHI Accreditation is valid for 3 years. After this time the facility must apply for re-accreditation. The Assessor's role is to visit the health care facility, to re-assess the premises to ensure they are still compliant, in order to remain a BFHI Accredited Health Care Facility. As an active volunteer with the Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) I also undertake a regular shift on the ABA National Breastfeeding Helpline Holding a Certificate IV TAE in Training & Assessment, and a Certificate IV in Breastfeeding Education and Counselling, Rebecca is also able to provide and deliver education to mothers and other health care professionals wanting to further their own knowledge in the field of human lactation. Becoming a Doula and Certified Placenta Arts Specialist was a natural progression, to further assist women achieve a positive breastfeeding outcome with fewer challenges, which are often brought about by the birth journey.
